What Did You Do For YOU today?
We all know about self care. But how many of us practice it?

The internet is chock full of information in regard to self care. So it's a safe bet that you have heard/read ad nauseam about ways for "you to do you." (God I hate that saying...)
But seriously. What have you done for yourself lately? Do you ever take time to just be? Like maybe 10-15 minutes to sit with you eyes closed and breathe in and out deeply? Self care isn't a luxury. It's a necessity...and I'll share why.
As women who have lived a busy, wonderful, taxing, sometimes frustrating, exhausting and exhilarating life, we need to prevent physical and emotional burnout. Lack of alone time or the absence of something that brings you joy like a hobby, event, volunteering...(fill in the blanks) can start to create some resentment and foster the feeling that we're not being seen or heard.
You do realize that for most of us, this is our own damn fault, right? We tend to be martyrs at times and in doing so, forgo our needs for those of our loved ones. Caring for those we love was our priority but now, we need to begin to shift our priorities towards ourselves. Not in a selfish way, but rather in a self fulfilling nature.
In closing, I'm asking you to take a moment to catch your breath and just be. If there's a hobby, business opportunity or even a daily walk that interests you, please take the much needed time to explore it. And then if it seems like a good fit...DO IT! It's really okay to enjoy some free time. I promise the world won't blow up in the 45 minutes it takes to find pleasure in a yoga class.
Remember!
You are no good to others if you're not good to yourself.
With much love and respect, Tracey XO
